This position is located in Malibu, CA. You must be able to come into the office to take advantage or our ocean views. We are open to a 1-2 days work from home.

Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property Management and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our property management portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounting functions for our property management portfolio, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Perform monthly CAM reconciliations and ensure accurate billing and collection of tenant charges.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Work closely with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Participate in audits and provide support to auditors as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
  • 3
    years of experience in Property Management accounting.
  • Experience with Yardi software and CAM reconciliations required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
