Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property Management and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our property management portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting functions for our property management portfolio, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Perform monthly CAM reconciliations and ensure accurate billing and collection of tenant charges.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Work closely with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Participate in audits and provide support to auditors as needed.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
- 3
years of experience in Property Management accounting. - Experience with Yardi software and CAM reconciliations required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
