Description
Engility is currently seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst (CISSP) for this professional position to perform the following duties:
Provides analytical applications systems support to achieve security in software or hardware systems development and protect data integrity
Applies data security principles and methods to design, develop, analyze and operate information security measures in a variety of areas including operating systems and workstations, data and network management, firewalls, information system security logs, crypto and key management, distributed authentication, vulnerability assessment and high-assurance systems.
Implements and maintains complex security systems and may provide user training, define and maintain the access control system and perform a variety of related duties as required.
Reviews current products, security policies and regulations for overall adequacy, correctness, adherence to design concepts and user standards and compliance with Division or customer requirements.
Recommends solutions to potential or existing information security problems based upon knowledge of major security products and services, current INFOSEC disciplines and policies and user needs or requirements.
Participates in planning for future security requirements and develops and implements policies and procedures related to all facets of information security.
Interfaces with senior management and customers to define potential security risks and present solutions to complex problems associated with specific projects.
May direct the work of less experienced staff members or technical support personnel.
Required Qualifications
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of information security principles, theories and concepts and a working knowledge of related fields.
Experienced in applying theoretical knowledge to provide innovative solutions to broad range of complicated problems.
Understands all relevant company policies and procedures.
Assigned to projects requiring sound technical judgment and which significantly impact program schedules and resource allocation.
Works under limited supervision and draws upon professional knowledge and experience to make independent judgments regarding the appropriate approach to projects.
May receive guidance from supervisors on specific objectives, complex features of assignments and possible solutions or results.
Work is evaluated upon completion for application of logistics principles and accomplishment of objectives.
CISSP certified.
Experience with Vulnerability Scanning, Mitigation planning, technical mitigation planning for security vulnerabilities and Hardening of systems (OS, S/W environment & H/W) using MS Windows operating system
Desired Qualifications
BA/BS and 9-13 yrs of related experience
5 years with DOD/DON IA is desired



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
