Our treatment philosophy is simple: specialized, cutting-edge care, recovery plans tailored to the individual, a supreme healing environment, and a program that addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. In a compassionate, fine-tuned approach, we treat the whole person. FRN is currently seeking a Housekeeper to help keep The Canyon in a pristine state, to maintain a welcome environment for clients, families, guests, and staff. As a Housekeeper at The Canyon, you would be part of a team of compassionate and highly trained individuals, driven by helping people through recovery. This positionis located at Foundations Recovery Network's facility, The Canyon at Peace Park, in Malibu, CA.
Job Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards not only met, but exceeded
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers
Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
Dust and polish furniture and equipment
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
Polish silver accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas
Replace light bulbs
Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items
Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets
Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
Assign duties to other staff and give instructions regarding work methods and routines
Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive
Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
Hang draperies, and dust window blinds
Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses
Observe precautions required to protect The Canyon and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
Prepare rooms for meetings, and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions
Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware
Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; the ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
Education / Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); can substitute education for one year of responsible experience housekeeping duties

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
